About Me

My name is Yasmin (or Yas) and I’m a designer with a fascination for patterns, shapes and colours. I am currently creating graphic based artwork using my skills to design many bespoke printed materials and digital assets for weddings and events, as well as logo and brand design, social media graphics content, video creation, printed and digital graphics and patterns.

Living in London never gets old.  I find inspiration and new conceptual ideas everywhere.  My mind is always switched on and processing the visual scenery of everyday, which often provides a base for new design work.

I love exploring new places and experiencing new things, for me documenting this through my photography and sketchbooks, capturing vibrant colours of my travels always puts a smile on my face. My favourite things to sketch include architecture from across the world, plants in any shape or form and most recently, animals, big, small or tiny.

Coming from a textiles background, I graduated with a degree in Fashion Textiles from Middlesex University, where I spent most of my time in Room 211 at The Grove. Here, I created some weird and wonderful menswear garments for the final collection of my degree.  This is around the time I started developing my Adobe creative design skills (and actually learnt the difference between vector and pixel), and I’m still going, patterns and colours are what everything breaks down to in my world!

Based on all the real places and cities I’ve visited around the world, and the list keeps growing.
