Covid-19
DESIGN. DIGITAL. PRINT.
While UK was in it’s first lockdown, centres for the Ismaili Community were closed. After a much anticipated 14 months of being closed, the centres finally reopened to the members of the community and they were able to return and be reunited.
The concept of the artwork for the digital assets and signage produced was this thought of ”opening“, making the members feel welcomed. Using different crops of the circle shape across all the media, as you can see in the GIF above and images below, this consistency helped members to recognise notices and updates directed for the reopening of the centres. The printed materials, including roller banners, A4 posters, floor stickers and sanitiser stands, were used in 33 centres around the UK and Europe and the digital assets were rolled out to over 18,000 members via emails and the community website. As the assets were being received by members of all ages and abilities, it was absolutely vital that the icons were crafted so that they could be understood by all.
